One Foolish Night Page 8
His claim that he would fuck her on the cold stone floor of the foyer if she didn’t suck him immediately had gotten her hotter than she’d ever been. No man had ever dared talk to her like that, not even her clients. Well, former clients, she reminded herself once more. And she found she liked the way Paul talked to her. She liked the way he told her exactly what he expected of her. Because it was what she wanted too. Tonight, she wanted to be reckless.
Holly walked closer to the bed.
The carpet swallowed Paul’s footsteps as he approached her from behind, but she heard him nevertheless. First he kicked off his dress shoes, then his pants. He tossed them near the bed, where they landed with a thud as his cell phone slipped from the pants pocket and bounced against the leg of the nightstand.
“Are you starting without me?” she asked, and turned just as he took off his jacket and tossed it carelessly in the same direction as his pants.
“I wouldn’t dare,” he said with a sinful grin. “But I find that these clothes are in my way.”
He stood in front of her wearing only his boxer briefs, tuxedo shirt, and bow tie.
Holly licked her lips, while lower down, her womb clenched with inexplicable need. “I agree.” She ran a long look over his strong thighs and the heavy bulge that tented the fabric of his boxer briefs. “You look almost like a Chippendale dancer now, though—” She hesitated and took a step toward him. “—way classier. And hotter.”
She placed her hand over his erection, cupping him through the thin layer of cloth. Immediately, he snatched her wrist and pried her hand off him, then yanked her to him so her breasts were crushed against his chest.
“You sexy little vixen,” he ground out. “Let’s set one thing straight right now: There will be no more touching my cock until I’ve satisfied you. Do you understand me?”
His eyes blazed at her with unchecked lust. She hadn’t felt this desired in a long time. She couldn’t recall any man ever looking at her like this.
Holly felt her lips part on a moan as the implication of his words sank in. Paul would pleasure her before he took his own pleasure. She could neither nod nor speak to assure him of her acquiescence. All she was capable of was to rub her body against him to make him aware that he needed to start with whatever he had planned.
When she felt his hand slide down to her ass and press her even closer, the breath she’d held escaped her throat.
“That’s it. Just breathe.”
He released her, only to slide her handbag from her shoulder and toss it toward his mountain of clothes. She heard a clanking sound and looked in the direction it had come from. The tiny red purse made of the same material as her bridesmaid’s dress had opened, and her cell phone had slipped out and landed next to Paul’s.
“We’ve got the same phone covers,” Paul commented.
He was right: Both iPhones had plain black covers that protected them from damage.
Holly looked back at him. “Like attracts like.”
Paul shook his head. “Oh, we’re nothing alike, you and I.”
Her heart stopped. Did he suspect what she was—or rather, how she’d earned her living until now? Had somebody accidentally let it slip that she was an escort?
Paul’s hand reached around her and found the zipper of her dress. He tugged on it. “You, Holly, are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. I, on the other hand, am no different than any of the other bachelors at the wedding. Except for the fact that I seem to be luckier than my friends. Because for some reason that I have yet to figure out, you chose me over all the others tonight.”
Relief flooded her just at the moment cool air touched her bare back. Paul lowered the zipper all the way, then brushed the dress’s straps over her shoulders and slowly pushed her bodice lower.
“And for that I’d like to thank you now,” he added and lowered his head to her shoulder, pressing a kiss on it, before pushing the bodice fully down, past her breasts, all the way to her waist.
Another shove and the garment fell to the floor and pooled around her feet.
Paul dipped his head lower, and his lips brushed over her exposed flesh. He groaned, and the sound bounced against her skin, lashing against her like a gentle caress. Instinctively, she thrust her breasts against his face, asking him to give her relief from the fire scorching her from the inside.
He captured both breasts in his hands, then lowered his mouth to one nipple, and licked it.
“Oh God, yes!” Holly cried out, her voice hoarse all of a sudden.
He let her nipple pop from his mouth and looked up at her. “Do me a favor, Holly. Call me Paul. I’d like to hear you scream my name when you come.”
