Crossroads Page 85

“I’m going to come. Fuck, I don’t think I can hold back much longer.” As soon as the words left Nick’s lips, he covered Bryce’s mouth again.

Their tongues tangled. Their bodies were slick with sweat, rubbing against each other. He savored Nick’s firm body, loved the feel of it against his own.

Nick changed his angle, moved slower, but deeper. Bryce kept his hand going, kept stroking himself as the intense pressure built stronger inside him. It was all too much. His orgasm slammed into him, an explosion of pleasure. Like he felt every fucking good thing in his life in that one moment as he tensed, come shooting up his chest and hitting his neck.

“Fuck, I feel you clenching around me,” Nick moaned, the veins in his neck popping out.  Then the muscles in his arms tensed as Bryce felt hot seed shoot into him. Fill him. Nick kept thrusting through his orgasm, his semen giving them more lube, until he shot one last time before dropping down on top of him. Bryce felt Nick pull out, felt his come drip out of him.

“Every fucking day. We’re doing that every day from now on.”

Nick ran his finger through the come on Bryce’s chest. “So, it was good for you?” He sounded unsure, and as crazy as it was, Bryce loved that.

“Hell yeah. Were you nervous?” He looked down at Bryce, then watched as he stuck his tongue out and licked the come off his chest.

“I just wanted it to be right. I knew this was important to you. Not that it wasn’t to me, but I like having you make love to me. I was okay with that, but I knew you needed me to make love to you.”

“You needed it just as much as I did, and that’s okay. But yeah, it was fucking amazing...and the rest of it...like you said, I’m not getting off the ride unless you are, and I really want you to stay on it with me, Nick. No more back and forth. No more worrying about everyone else. We’re happy, you and me. But you have to talk to your mom, though. That’s one thing I need from you, baby. Don’t walk away from your family because of me. It’ll eat me alive if you do.”

It took Nick a long time to answer, but finally he whispered, “Okay. Whatever you need. Now come on, let’s go to sleep. I just want to lay here and feel you.”

Bryce wrapped his arms around Nick, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.

CHAPTER FORTY

“We waited until the end of summer to buy lawn furniture. We’re not going to get to use it much. I like this one.” Nick pointed to a long table, chairs and umbrella, all in Earth tones. It sat six people, with a brown, green and beige square pattern on the top.

“I do, too. We should get two of them, though. We both have big families, and we might want to throw parties or something. Since we have a big yard, we should take advantage of it.”

Nick looked over at his lover. It had been two weeks since the day at his mom’s. They hadn’t had any more incidents with family or friends, but that was probably because they’d mostly kept to themselves. Nick went to the shop a couple times, and Bryce had been to the restaurant. All his employees knew he had a boyfriend now, and it had basically been like telling them he had green eyes. No one cared. He spoke with Karrie a few times over the phone. She wanted him to know she still supported him, and that she’d work on their mom. Other than that, they’d just lived their lives, and Nick was fucking happy.

“We might not always, though.” Nick knew what his words meant. He hadn’t planned to say it this way, but the meaning behind them was sincere.

“What do you mean?”

“We’re in the same bed every night. We’re paying for rent on two places.” He shrugged. “It just seems useless.”

Bryce grinned. “If we moved into one place, we’d have to share the yard with someone else.”

“Or we could look for a new place.”

“With a big yard to fit two tables?” Bryce asked, like a ten-year-old begging for a toy. Nick laughed.

“Sure. A big yard is nice. We don’t have to rush. It’s the end of August. The holidays are coming, and this time of year is always crazy. We can plan for the beginning of the new year.”

“A large yard and a live-in chef? Sold. We should start looking soon. And by the way, we’re getting two tables now.”

Nick rolled his eyes. Damn, he loved his man. Just being around Bryce made him happy. Things weren’t perfect. They were still stumbling around in their relationship. But it was worth it. Bryce was worth it.

“Yes, sir. We need to hurry, though. I have to head to work.”

“You can go. If we want this one, I can take care of the rest.” They’d taken Bryce’s truck and Nick’s car so he could head to the restaurant afterward. “Oh, will you bring me home some of those potatoes I like? The ones with all the stuff in them?”
