Sweet Little Lies Page 29
“I need to fuck you,” he said as he jerked my shorts down.
“You snuck in to abduct me in the pantry and have sex with me?” I asked my heart now racing for other reasons.
“Yes,” he growled. “All I can think about is being inside you. I can’t get shit done.”
“Geraldine could come down here and hear us,” I reminded him.
“Not if you’re a good girl and don’t make any noise.”
I wasn’t sure that was possible. “Stone! We can’t do this,” I argued, but it was feeble. The idea of him taking me in the pantry with Geraldine upstairs was exciting.
“Take your shorts off, Beulah,” he demanded.
I did. I pushed them all the way down and kicked the discarded clothing aside. I knew we could get caught. I didn’t want Geraldine to catch us. But I’d been in a constant state of arousal thinking about Stone’s hardness in my mouth. Choking me. He picked me up and pressed my back against the wall. He kissed my neck as he slid into me in one swift push taking my breath away.
I wrapped my legs around him to hold on as he rocked into me over and over. “Such a dirty girl,” he said as he nuzzled my neck. “Pulling your pants off and giving me this pussy in a pantry.”
I whimpered. The naughtiness of the situation and his hard body taking me like this was almost more than I could handle. I wanted to cry out. Beg for more. But I bit my bottom lip and held it in.
“That’s it. Be nice and quiet while I fuck this pussy. All I could think about. Can’t function from needing this. The thought of you makes me so damn hard.”
I buried my face in his chest to muffle the noises I was making.
“You’re soaking wet, Beulah. Was the fear of someone taking you exciting enough to arouse you?”
I shook my head. “I’ve been thinking about sucking you all day. What you said last night,” I whispered, the darkness making me bold.
Air hissed between his teeth. “Thinking about taking my dick in your mouth made you wet?”
“Yes,” I admitted with a sigh of pleasure.
He began moving faster. His pants were hard and right at my ear. “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” his chant made my climax climb faster. The beating of his heart matched my own.
“That’s it, take it like the dirty girl you are,” he whispered as his body began to grow taunt.
The peak washed over me. I started to cry out and his hand covered my mouth. His eyes locked with mine as I shattered to pieces in his arms. Then he pulled from me. “I’m coming,” he growled and groaned as he pumped his release all over my thighs as I watched with fascination.
We were both panting as we stood there in the darkness. I wished I had been able to see clearer. My eyes had adjusted to the darkness, but I had wanted to see his eyes when he had pulled away and he reached his own pleasure.
“I’ll clean you up,” he said softly.
I watched as he found a paper towel roll in the corner and began to wipe himself from my skin. Once he finished he lifted his eyes to meet mine. “Tonight, you’re taking me in your mouth. I doubt I can focus on much else now. But that will help get me through.”
I started to get my shorts and he stopped me. “I’ll do that.”
I stood there as he dressed me. My heart full. My body sated.
Footsteps stopped us both. A grin that I could see in the darkness curled on his lips. “Better get out there. She’ll be looking for you.”
I quickly straightened my hair and opened the door to step out, hoping she didn’t notice I was walking out of a dark pantry with nothing.
Geraldine was at the sink. “I think we should have tea out on the veranda,” she said cheerfully.
“Okay, yes, that’s a good idea. I have the tea cakes and sandwiches you mentioned earlier in the fridge.” I sounded nervous. She didn’t seem to notice.
“Lovely. It’s perfect weather for tea outside.” She took the tray with the teapot. “You get the nibbles and I’ll take this.”
“Okay,” I readily agreed.
I quickly found the items I had made earlier today when she’d mentioned she’d like to have them. But not before I took a quick glance at the pantry. Having our tea outside would give Stone time to leave without being seen.
Geraldine opened the door to the backyard and paused. “Oh, and Beulah,” she said.
“Yes?”
“Grab another cup and tell Stone that I’d love for him to get out of my pantry to join us for tea.”

MACK WAS STANDING OUTSIDE THE apartment building with a cigarette in his mouth when I pulled into the parking lot just before seven. I wanted to be home when Beulah arrived. She’d been a nervous mess during tea with Gerry today. Although Gerry had only mentioned she knew we’d fucked in her pantry once. It had been a side note at that. She hadn’t seemed to be surprised or upset about it. That didn’t matter to Beulah. She was so fidgety and couldn’t hide her expressive eyes. It was damn cute.
Getting out of my Range Rover, I pocketed my keys and phone and headed toward Mack. He had a purpose for being out here other than to smoke. His apartment had the same balcony mine had. If he’d wanted a smoke he could have used his. His presence when he expected me home meant something.
“What do you need?” I asked bluntly. I didn’t have time for beating around the bush with small talk.
Mack took a long drag from his Marlboro and let the smoke that didn’t damage his lungs back out of his nose and mouth. “You dating Beulah?”
I’d known this was about her. When I had gone to his apartment to get her, I knew then she was in his sights. The man had no morals. I’d been furious and ready to kick him out when I’d found her there. It had taken extreme self-control not to lose my shit.
“It’s more than dating. But if you’re asking if she’s available, then no she isn’t. And she won’t be. Ever.”
Beulah was a beautiful woman. Men wanted her. I understood that. But dealing with it head on was difficult. My possessive nature flared and I wanted to act like a fucking maniac to get my point across. I refrained. Barely.
“I thought it was headed that way. Wasn’t sure. Wanted to check first.”
I waited for him to say more. When he didn’t, I walked past him and focused on getting inside before I planted my fist in his face for nothing. My temper needed checking.
“She’s different. She wasn’t like the others. I didn’t want her the way you think I did. I was interested in more,” Mack added just before I escaped him.
That admission should make me feel better. It didn’t. He wanted what I had. He wanted what I already knew. She was a rare find. I took a deep breath and forced myself to admit that this was unavoidable. She was special. Other men would see it. I had to learn to live with that.
“She’s mine.” The simple statement sounded chauvinistic even for my own ears. At that moment, I didn’t give a fuck. It was the truth. I was big on brutal honesty. Why hold back now?
He gave a nod. “Not planning on making a move. I had a feeling. Like I said. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t getting the wrong signals.”
“You weren’t,” I barked more than replied and went inside before he could say more. I was almost to my floor when I realized he was still out there. She’d be home soon. Knowing how he felt, I didn’t want him waiting on her if that was what he was doing. Pausing, I started to turn around when the door opened and I heard Shay say, “I got the damn pie. Jesus stop bitching.”
